The "Mouse with Acorn" wood sculpture is a new addition to my new series of carvings of mice in theme settings. The mouse is carved from basswood and is hand painted in acrylic paints. The whiskers are fishing line glued in place and trimmed to length. The mounted branch is a piece of sassafras wood that was burned to give it the black color. The base is a cherry tree branch and the mouse is holding an actual oak acorn and the pine cones are from a dawn redwood tree.
The piece measures 6" x 6.5 " x 8.5"
