We all love our pets and we take thousands of pictures of them to capture their special moments. If you want to capture that moment in a unique way how about ordering a custom designed Intarsia woodworking portrait?
Intarsia woodworking is a wood inlay technique of cutting out pieces of wood into various shapes and then piecing them back together in a layered fashion to create a picture design. Different types of wood are chosen for their color and grain to help create a beautiful design. Sometimes other natural materials such as stone are used to add creative touches to the piece.
Completed designs are mounted on a wood background and fitted within a red cedar frame. The design is finished with an initial coat of Danish oil and a final coat of paste wax to add a warm sheen to the finished work. Designs come ready for hanging on a wall.
